Nikon has been forever a conservative company. Remember that for the introduction of the D3 some changes were made within the company and those included new, young technicians who shortly after the D3, a success at the time, introduced the D700. The D700 and the D3 are still very popular and excellent cameras in spite of their age.
When it comes to mirrorless Nikon and Canon were over 5 years behind when they began to introduce their mirrorless bodies, dominated at the time by Olympus and Panasonic. Sony has been very successful with their mirrorless cameras and today nobody sells more mirrorless cameras than Sony. AF has been an issue for mirrorless cameras when it comes to action and wildlife photography. I am familiar with Olympus that struggled with a better AF some years back but I am in no position to discuss AF with other cameras although I have heard that AF with Nikon is better with their dSLR cameras than with their mirrorless bodies.

I would not dare to make fun of a company, not Nikon nor anyone else. This young man is exposing himself to a lawsuit for defamation and even if he wins the case lawyer and court expenses could be astronomical. His previous criticisms to Nikon could make him more liable. I certainly do not want to be in his shoes. In regard to technology Olympus, the brand I use, has done very well. I am not familiar with their new mirrorless cameras and according to rumors they seem to be working on a new model that could be out this year. The optics are excellent, most probably among the best I have ever used.

I am not talking about Nikon. They could put Canon or Sony or Leica or Olympus I still think it's bad taste. A sense of humor doesn't have to do with finding bad joke funny.

You may say I find no humor in it because I am a Nikon shooter, but I will say you are simply just a Canon fanboy who can't resist taking cheap shots at a different brand of camera than your chosen gear.

I more or less agree with your first sentence.
However, I don't get the "cheap shots"?
I own 2 Nikons, 2 Panasonics, a Canon, a Pentax, a Kodak, and I could care less if anyone takes cheap shots at any of them. If they can make me laugh, I'm good with it. This brand loyalty over any camera is really lame, unless you work for the manufacturer.

This potato thing goes over my head I guess. I watched the whole thing and didn't laugh once. Had nothing at all to do with cheap shots, and how could Nikon sue anyone over this supposed attempt at humor? He could have stuck an apple, a cantaloupe or a box of Kleenex in front of the lens, I still don't get it. I'm thinking of suing the OP for wasting my time watching it. I guess I'd lose because the chick had a tad of socially redeeming value, that I can't deny...
