Nope, here’s a picture of one (Cray 2, 1985, but it was cooled with Flourinert - cooling unit is on the right)

I know you can.

There is a real lack of humor in this forum.
I thought it was hilarious.

Oh, I knew the CRAY was liquid cooled, I was being facetious about cooling the camera.
Fourinert is an neat compound, a totally non-conductive (electricity, not heat) liquid.
Great for (immersion) testing electronics at specifically controlled ambient temperatures without shorting anything out or measuring operating temp of an electronic device.

Surprised that no one's come up with a water jacket to keep the lens (& camera?) at a constant 24°C...
You know, for really perfect pictures.

Brilliant marketing and advertising,.....Everyone immediately knows whose using Canon,........Whoever made that suggestion I'm sure was rewarded handsomely.

And good engineering. The white lenses absorb less heat than black lenses when exposed to sunlight, which in turn results in less thermal expansion and change in tolerances as well as exposing the electronics and lubricants to lower temperatures.

First was engineering, then they realized the marketing value when for the last 30+ years all you saw at events and sports were white lenses. Even now with Sony trying to copy Canon all will still see every white lens as Canon regardless.
