An outstanding sequence. Nice work.

These pics aren’t for the faint of heart as the cormorant feeding it’s young can be a little alarming. It looks violent, and the young are extremely persistent. But it’s an interesting feat and a definite example of the parental care they give. I thought I’d start with a more aesthetic pic of a kingfisher with successful catch before diving into the cormorants! Hope you find this post interesting!
wow that is interesting! great job on all the shots, phv.
Nice shots. The Kingfisher is over the top good!

Got lucky! I’ve shot literally hundreds of those birds and that’s the only one I would consider posts! Thank you CPO!
Very interesting shots. Great job.
Outstanding action sequence!

Great set but that first one is outstanding
Doves do a similar thing. See attached video. I agree that it is marvelous to see the creative design displayed in the natural world. How could anyone think this came about by chance.

Love them all but that is one of the best Kingfisher in flight shots I've seen. Good work!
Terrific sequence!! Extra kudos for the kingfisher capture.
Wonderful photos! I love the kingfisher, and they can be tricky to capture! Thank you for teaching me something new in your cormorant photos. The other day, I took a couple pictures of cormorants at City Park in Denver. I thought they were just being feisty with each other, and noticed how one of them had it's head inside the other one's mouth!! After seeing your pictures, I now wonder if it was a youngster getting fed. Thank you for sharing your awesome photos!
