I have a shot from a book store somewhere, one I took decades ago. In the section "Fiction", a whole section made up of the many published bibles. In several languages, to boot.

Hey Jerry I bought a log splitter one of the best purchases I have made instead of that extra camera. Are you stacked for winter?

Yes, I have a very old log splitter, but I haven't used it in years. The small amount of wood I have to split I do with a maul. No, I don't have all I need yet. My regular supplier went out of business. I found a new one, and I'll have to call for a couple more loads. They don't deliver cords, just loads.

You know what they say about wood. They say it warms you twice. But I think it is more like four times. Once when you cut it, once when you haul it, once when you split it, once when you stack it and once one you burn it. I guess that is really five.
I burn about two cords of wood a year and try to keep two years of wood on hand at one time. Love those fires they are so warm and toasty. Many hours spent by the fire. Something we look forward to each winter.

When you clean out the stove, when you clean up the mess in the yard...

Why does he need to declare himself?

I’m really surprised no one has mentioned that the wood is stacked into the shape of a giant chainsaw.
