Would love to try what you are doing but I haven't "camped" in 50 years. I also have the Canon 80D and an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Sad to say I take more pictures with the iPhone.

Welcome to this forum. You are living my dream: a nomad touring in a small RV. I have been yearning for that lifestyle for years. My trusted photo companion is a wonderful Canon SX50. This camera has been with me everywhere. I do own a Canon D80 with the same Tamron lens as well. But the SX50 fits so well in a backpack and is so much lighter.
