Thanks GiGi for the post. Adding action to your images can be very rewarding, and daunting at the same time. Much like the fireworks shots, the longer exposure allows for a more full image of action. Another example is lighting shots, these take time and not knowing the exact time for a strike, the longer exposure allows for a better chance at getting one on a piece of film. The higher fstop allows for great depth of field, and with an iso of 100, doesn't allow for over exposure, but the time is like 8-15 sec. exposures. This was shot with ISO 100, f22 and 13 sec. exposure. I do have to say there were many, many images with just black, but when you do get a strike sometime in the 15 seconds, it really comes out.
