Occasionally it occurs to me to do something like this. The original photo struck me as having potential for some kind of attention. Eventually I tried this out.

I like the idea very much. The man's placement bothers me a little; I'm thinking if he was more to the left, the result would feel less static. Even a change in his size offers possibilities, maybe?

Is that cloud nine that he is walking on? Nice idea. I agree with Linda, a different placement would make him more engaging. At least for me it would.

I tried a lot of placements and croppings on the original. As I remember, and this was some time ago, I introduced a slight vignette to this one and that was as far as I got until I introduced the clouds. Hadn’t given it too much thought since. Centered preserved in some way how I perceived him to be lost in his thoughts. You think he could have been smaller?

If you read my response to Linda you get my line of thinking. He is immersed in the clouds as he was in his thoughts?

Thanks Joe. It felt natural to just have him at a determined pace but lost in thought. Maybe I put myself in his shoes. Frankly I just wanted to see if I could do a decent job of it.
