The question was about having your custom home built so here it is. If you are in the middle Tennesse area contact "Dickerson Construction, LLC". Three brothers, one is temperarily in Anchorage, AK, who were raised in the construction business; working when they were not in school from the age of 6-8 yrs old, they received the formal business education locally in Nashville. Their father is retired but available for consultations and sweat if needed. They haven't needed the sweat in 5 years, ;-( ... Did I mention they are my sons, shamelessly they are and They are ethical as well. Now you have my advertisement too.

Hmmmm.............after working one entire summer with my Spousal Unit on our large greenhouse, I told someone I knew I wouldn't ever have a new house, because I REFUSE to work with him on a projuct of that magnitude ever again. Which is one reason why we are still in this old dump. LOL Oh, well, the exhorbitant prices we'd have to pay do factor into it too, but still.........

My significant other did it in CA in the 90s, and to hear him tell it, all contractors are cheats and thieves. He sued his but the guy's license wasn't real, and everything he owned was in his wife's name. . . buyer beware.

No.......don't work for contractor.......or, for anyone now....
been retired since 1990.....just ran across this website and
liked the house plans......there's a great many contractors
out there that do some fabulous jobs.......and, building a
home is within everyone's reach.....just look a little harder...
