Thank you very much Gary - you are right, and with all these colorful buildings we are going to visit in these polish cities, they must employ an army of painters.

My first visit to Poland! You have provided a great historical introduction to the country. You are certainly keeping my brain active re-learning European history.
I like the great system for self-guided walks used here.
What language did you use in Poland to communicate? Is English or German more prevalent as an alternate to Polish?
Yes, the colors are magnificent, as are the street scapes.

Thank you Ellen for your appreciation and eagerness to immerse yourself in the sometimes very convoluted European history. To be quite honest: I cannot remember what main language we used, Polish is definitely not my language, I know a couple of words and that's it. Normally we try to function in English, which is the language my wife Susan understands best, and I think this was also the case here. Of course German is quite well known and understood, particularly here in Szczecin/Stettin, which is very close to the German/Polish border and its economic area sort of spills over into Germany.

Just beautiful shots! I only visited Warsaw and Krakow in Poland in 2015.
