Saying Good-bye to Trixie

I'm so sorry, Linda. Trixie knew she was loved and you know she loved you. That's really all you need to know at this point. In time, another little fur baby may enter your life and it will give you great pleasure. In my heart, I know Trixie would want what is best for you.

By the way, the portrait is beautiful, so expressive and sweet!

Many thanks to all. I imagine that most of you in Pampered Pets Forum have been through the same. If we live long enough, we get to do it two or three times. Never any less painful, but yes - so worth it. I cannot imagine life without the love of treasured pets.

I'm so very sorry to hear of the passing of your "Trixie". I've been there when I lost my Persian Cat, "Miley". She took over the job of trying to comfort me everyday after I lost my Wife, Carolyn, to cancer. She was like all the other pets that we all learn to love so much in our lives. I'm certain that "Trixie" was as special to you as "Miley" was and still is to me. I'm sure "Trixie" will be waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge someday, wear you can both be together again for eternity. I can't think of anything else to help ease your sorrow and broken heart right now. I read all of the posts that friends have sent you on here, but I think "Cwilson341" said it the best. What he said moved me. Bless you Linda for loving "Trixie". I need to go now and dry my eye's.

Linda, only people who have had pets know how deeply affected they are when they die. Time gradually heals that sadness, some people say not to dwell on that loss and get another pet as soon as you feel up to it.

I have just stumbled across this looking at something else and saw your name came up with a different photo and on investigating saw the sad news of your dear little dog. I am so sorry for you, Linda. Gone but not forgotten.

I'm so sorry Linda, I meant to offer my condolences yesterday. It is never easy when we lose them. They our the light in our lives after a long day, a friend to confide in, one who offers comfort when we need it the most, and the one who leaves such a huge hole in our hearts. Run Free Trixie and know you will be missed dearly ♥

Thank you all for your lovely comments. To me she was a perfect companion, as was the previous Humane Society rescue I had for 14 years. A quarter of a century of "perfection" I won't be attempting to replace.
