UTMike,
This is a beautiful set of images. At 8760 feet of elevation, I am surprised by the lack of ice in the lake the following spring/summer. I recall Ice Lake in the Wallowa Wilderness of Oregon at 8,000 feet having ice and Lake Solitude in the Tetons at 9,000 feet having ice the following August. This leads me to think there was not a lot of precipitation in your area this past winter. Is that true? I know there is a widespread drought over all the west for the past several years. Be that as it may, your set of images are very, very pleasant to look at.

We had a horrible winter (little snow and high temperatures). At the present time we are in the midst of one of our worst droughts. Fortunately, the mountains still provide respite from the reality in the valleys.
