One of them did not provide a prepaid shipping label so I hadda point out that it’s being returned due to being faulty. Then they provided the label. Thaz my total “grief” in very many transactions. Usually they don’t really care about the reason. Maybe some new clerk was just being a bit too officious ?

If you return it because you change your mind, not because it has a quality issue, B&H asks you pay the return shipping.

Not to B&H. The lens I received was damaged, or maybe I didn't understand how to use it, but nevertheless money was returned promptly.

tca2267 since you're a retired Law Enforcement Officer I feel certain you've likely reviewed both organization's Polices on the aforementioned... Both Adorama and B&H have been in this industry for decades and are well respected for outstanding customer service...

Rest assured they are good to their stated policies...
I've never had any issues returning items to B&H and I've never had reason to return anything to Adorama...

Like mentioned by others follow their procedure to obtain a Return Authorization from the seller in question and follow their instructions... Albeit I've never returned an expensive lens so maybe wait to hear from others who have...

All the best on your journey tca2267

I exchanged a tamaron 10-24 to B H and went in person handed him the lens and he handed me one right. He did look over the lens to see if it was like new,it was and no issue. Adaroma years ago gave me a hard time about a simple return and never used them again. It was a simple stupid thing and they list my business for life

Hi..
Has anyone had a problen with returning a expensive lens [ Nikon 500....Nikon 300 ] to either
ADAROMA or B and H?

What these retailers are balking at are "repeat offenders".
Buyer's remorse? Just return it. Get a refund, try a different one?
Don't want to rent/buy a $$$$ lens? Buy it!
Use the heck put of it for the event/trip whatever. And return it.
The seller has to test, clean, inspect- and maybe sell it as a "used but excellent" product.

HO

IF you return a lens, it must be in the same condition as purchased.
IF a buyer wants to return a lens, they need ONLY return within the stated policy terms for B&H and Adorama.

chill... thanks

I recently bought a Tameron 10-24mm lens and did like the responce Time to start focusing. I saw this complaint in a review but mine was obvious. I brought it to the return store around the corner, and he unboxed it and looked through it for inspection. He was thoroughly professional and I said you must get some wild stuff being returned and he shook his head. Said you would not believe what people expect us to take back
