You seem to forget, almost every state in America has a neighboring state. That is just a flimsy excuse the Liberal Democrats use to get away with doing absolutely nothing about gun violence in Chicago. There is absolutely no problem(s) in Chicago that cannot and should not be blamed on Liberal Democrats ridiculous governing practices for close to 100 years now. From what I have read the entire governing body is entirely black and completely Liberal Democrat. That must be why every problem is blamed on somebody or something else.

True leaders fix problems. They do not blame others for those problems.

Where are the leading Democrats who should be marching the streets of Chicago to stop the gun violence? Where are the extra police patrols who should be out in the problem neighborhoods stopping vehicles and talking to the occupants. Almost every vehicle on the road if watched for a few minutes by a police officer can be pulled over for something. That gives the officer to at least see who the occupants are, possibly search the vehicle if probable cause is present and so on. High police presence would help greatly in the violent neighborhoods.

Waiting for neighboring states to move farther away isn't going to cut it. The city leaders have to actually do SOMETHING positive.

Many shootings and k*****gs are by gang members. Many of these members come from one parent homes with no male role models and their mother working two jobs to keep food in the house so the gang becomes their family. Sadly this will probably always be.

If you are talking to me, I don't really care where the violence comes from. I have worked in a state prison where some gang members/murders/thugs were from the finest families in Denver and surrounding states. The point is Chicago is doing absolutely nothing that I can see, for years now, to stop gang violence, neighborhood k*****gs, ANYTHING.

The black politicians who run Chicago and have been running the city for years have proven to be corrupt, actually in the entire state of Illinois as well. They don't give a damn about black on black crime or they would do something about it.

Excuses don't cut it. If it was a Republican monopoly of politicians you and I both know the Left Wingers would be all over this until something was done. But they are not Republicans but corrupt Democrats. Why didn't Obama do something about Chicago? Why not Rahm Emmanuel, why not every other Democratic leader. They scream about Gun Control and yet Chicago is run by corrupt black politicians and their only excuse is, guns are coming from other states. You seem to find that acceptable. I do not.

I could not have stated it better myself.... The GANG becomes the family as the cycle of single , unmarried young females continues. There is NO father figure in the home. If and when mom works, the kids are left to fend for themselves and naturally take to the streets... How Many ministers and pastors in these communities even MENTION what some of these root problems are ? It is far to easy to blame the guns ! If there were no guns it would be knives etc... BLAME the community itself for not tackling the ROOT problems...
