Nice setup. I've got a 1200 with a 14" Ritchie Cretien on it. Not too happy with my camera though. An old STL 1100 with a class B chip in it. Thinking of trying my Canon RP on it.

I got a second hand STXL 11002, it is old but works, but has a number of dead pixels. I have used my Canon 5D MarkIV and it has worked well but blocks all the HA and without cooling does have some noise in the image.

If had to do it all over I would probably look into one of the new CMOS cameras using the Sony chip that has a QE of over 80%. (of course I would still want a DSLR or an RP for regular photography).

Yes, I was looking at those as well but decided to put my limited photo budget into a camera that I could use during the daytime.
I have found that astro-photography is a function of money spent. All the way from a cell phone snapshot of the sky to the Hubble. That and the brutal on going learning curve has me focusing on conventional photography at the moment.
But keep showing your stuff. I love to see it.

These shots were taken with an old second hand 11 megapixel Sbig camera. I hope to reshoot this one with my newer ZWO camera which I find is far superior in QE (80-90% vs 50%), chip noise, well depth, read noise and pixel density. I also want to try and see if the I can adapt the .7x focal reducer I've got to work with the F10 Meade as the scale misses a little of the outer fringes of M101.
