Did you try a green-blue colour cast as opposed to the purple-blue one that you used? Purple usually manages to convey a cosy feel and I'm guessing that's not what you wanted to convey.

Unfortunately I am the victim of red green color blindness. I probably would have preferred a blue green cast had I been able to ascertain it. Oh well…

Though I love b/w, I probably like this even better but am not sure why. It has a dreamy, half-remembered quality, like something from the distant past which is still important to recall. If I'd made this photo I'd be really happy.

That is precisely the mood I was hoping to convey. Thanks so much for your kind words and I’m glad you enjoyed it.

Beautiful. This give me the feeling that all is well where I am but likely to change. The foreground has a warm feel and the distant storm is cold and menacing. I like it a lot.

Thanks Carol. I love it when a project comes together!

Beautiful photo and processing, Tommy. The natural light in the foreground makes the dramatic sky look ominous; very nicely done. Keep experimenting.

The contrast between the lighted foreground and the dark sky was one of the main reasons that I created this to begin with. Thanks for the kind words.

I like the effect and have used it several times. I think it is a very personal effect and draws meaning and purpose for the individual using the effect.

And hopefully the desired effect is conveyed to other viewers. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I always appreciate the creative work that you do.
