Quite the contrary. Else there would be nothing to complain about.

Well Jerry, some people like to get done before the hottest parts of the day, but the most important is there is less traffic early in the morning!!!
And, some people have jobs that require them to go to work early. They would probably like to be sleeping too.
At least they are working and not sitting at home getting one of those big unemployment checks!
Garbage pickup is like pumping septic tanks, it's not sexy but someone has to do it! I wouldn't want either job.
It's an easy fix, move out in the sticks.

Solution:
Live and work on a farm. You're not required to commute anywhere. You're right at your workplace when you get up. And you get up before sunrise so you generally beat the garbage trucks and school buses. Your tractors make more noise than they do, so you don't notice them. No need to go to the gym, you get your exercise at work. At the end of a 15 hour day you are tired enough to sleep through anything.
Being at work 24/7 is not my idea of fun.
Our town contracts the garbage so we don't have that. It's billed with the water bill 4 times a year. This give us a better price and a one day one truck per week.
Why don't you bring it up to your local government.

My garbage truck is my car - Honda Fit. I bring recycling to the dump and pay $5.00/bag to unload garbage. Otherwise, I would have to pay the ever-rising cost of commercial pickup.
My water comes from my 200' well.
Reveille for me was 5 AM when in the marines but since I returned to the civilian world of complaints it is 6 am.
My trash collector comes on Friday at any time from 0545 to two or three in the afternoon depending on how much he has to pickup and if it is after a holiday.
I put my cans out on Thursday night when I get home from work and that ensures that if he comes early they will be there for pickup.
If it is the day after a holiday it can be much later in the day.
If the week has a holiday in it those that their scheduled pickup is on the holiday slides one day and everyone else remains on a normal schedule. That makes the next day a double of their normal amount that they pickup.
If the cans are so full that the lids will not close they will not pick it up.
There are two companies that pickup in my city and I seldom see a truck picking up in a residential area after two. If I see a truck it is usually picking up commercial waste.

I was able to cut that to 15/7 (we quit early on Sundays). I got almost 40 hours of sleep a week.
"New York City creates 33 million tons of waste a year. The next closest offender is Mexico City which generates a comparatively quaint 12 million tons of trash, followed by Tokyo, which, again, has a full dozen million more potentially garbage-generating citizens. The average New Yorker uses two dozen times more energy than someone in Kolkata, and creates 15 times as much solid waste."
I suspect that this is one of the many reasons that the waste haulers need to start so early....or make their rounds during the drive home rush hour traffic which would further block the streets.
Whining is not becoming! Just be glad that someone else picks up your trash for you instead of you having to haul it to the dump yourself. FYI, most folks who have to earn a living or go to school are not asleep at 6:00 a.m. For those who are still asleep, garbage collection noise is a triffling thing to complain about when considering the benefit provided.

We do garbage trucks start their day so early? There are three or four companies picking up garbage on my street. One arrived at 6:06 AM today, and another was here at 6:12. Nothing on the street makes as much noise than these things, and I doubt many people are awake at such an early hour - not until the trucks arrive, that is.
6:12AM? Your lucky Jerry. On my street, they are here between 4:00 and 5:00AM, one for the garbage and one for the recyclables. Your right though, they sure do sound loud at that hour of the morning, LOL.
Truck and outside work is not allowed till 7:00AM in town.

We take our garbage to a recycling and collection station about 6 miles from home. If we go to the dump, it's about
20 miles. Only people around here that have garbage pickup are the ones who can hire a private company
to pick it up and take it to the dump.
