What I do not understand is why a "civilized" (one might question that adjective!) society sees the need to own guns the way Americans do. You are the only nation on earth with that concept, and you have the gun violence and k*****gs to demonstrate the problem. There are many countries where people own guns for legitimate reasons and purposes, yet they do not have the problem that you have in the US. It really is possible to have sensible gun regulation AND gun ownership at the same time.

No country is going to "invade" you in a way that can be stopped with your "musketeers." America will undoubtedly go down someday, but it will be defeated with economics and advanced technologies that "lead chuckers" will not be able to stop. It is not the Wild West anymore; it is 2021 and the future is computers, AI and software attacks on infrastructure.

I think in times long past times (Pearl Harbour) it may have been possible to mount a flotilla as you envision, but with today's surveillance I don't think it would ever happen. The USN and USAF would be all over the ships before they even got to international waters with their "cargo."
