Very nice set Erich - the walk paid off in more ways than one!

Thank you. It was a fun afternoon.

Your decision of subject and location on a bright sunny day was the right decision. I particularly like your first shot Simple subject and muted lighting and background.

Thank you, Frank. The more I look at that, the more I like it. Might have to print it. Thanks for taking a look.

When I decided to walk the dog today, I had to make a few decisions. What camera stuff did I want to take along, and where do I want to go. Three o'clock on a pretty sunny afternoon, I decided that filtered sunlight in the woods would be better than bright afternoon vistas. I also decided to bring only a medium length telephoto. So I screwed (literally)my Takumar 135mm onto my adapter and headed out with the dog and the Z6. I was looking for a particular type of image. Singular subject shot wide open with lots of background separation. Here is what I came up with.

Sassafras, laurel, sumpm else, young maple, and one happy dog! All well and sensitively captured!

I'm impressed that you know the plants. I only know the obvious ones like maple. Glad you enjoyed the photos. It was a good walk in a place we both know.

I agree with you. That is my favorite. It might interest you to know that I was using a Z6 Bev. I'm not sure which cameras you prefer; but I'm really startling to like the full frame mirrorless offerings from Nikon. Thanks for taking a look.

Just got my Z711, but I'm finishing up a project for a non-profit and on a time crunch. As a result, haven't even had the chance to play with it much. I've done some focus stacking though and liked the results so far. Bev

These are the types of images I'd like the kids in the photo club to get interested in. Does not have to be the same subject; but attention to details and an idea of what you want rather than "spray and pray" shooting can produce results. Thanks.
