Just some fun with water and milk.

last is the setup I used.

To achieve the explosion on top, 2 droplets are used. The first creates the column. When it peaks the 2nd droplet hits the column. The Camera, speed lights and droplet controller is all controlled with the PLUTO controller.

Have fun and thanks for stopping by

Nothing complicated from me...The robins have flown their nest I do believe, but I got these earlier in the week.

Nice! I tried to get some shots of a robin nesting in my shed, but she fled as soon as i got within 50 ft. of her, so I decided to let her be.

I got a few shots of one of my granddaughters this afternoon. I'm sure she's sick of seeing the camera aimed at her!

Hey Steve! Lovely captures! Thanks for posting. I use the MIOPS system. I find that the milk or Xanthan Gum added to the water, works so much better than just water. Either way it is so much fun once you get the timing down. Do you use just water in the actual dropper or do you use milk / food coloring? Also I like your setup! Again, thanks.

I see a lot of people mention Xanthan Gum. If that’s working well for people do you think agar agar would work well?

A big shout out of thanks to ETmom, and Photophile for the challenges this past week. Many time you can experience a feathered friend on some of those ways taken.
For now it's Free Sunday so I know you been waiting with all the patience you can muster to see what coming here. I know I have. These will get you started on your way.

Great start for Free Sunday, absolutely beautiful first shot there!

Lots of new foals at Assateague. We were lucky to happen upon this newly born foal yesterday afternoon. Momma Susie Sole is my foster horse. This little colt is her third foal in 2 1/2 years. He looks very much like his sire, Delegates Pride, with a blaze. He was born Friday evening around 6:30 so he is less than 24 hours old in these photos.

I don't think I posted these yesterday... if I did.. I claim insanity!

Not the best quality but the Prothonotary Warbler is very rare and we are lucky to have one in a Provincial Park about an hour's drive from us.

never saw one, nice!
