It's that time of year again!
Some shots of a female and male yellow-headed blackbird. The female was nest building and her bill is littered with bits of what she was using for her nest.

Great shots.
1:4 glycerin:water mix. Seems to help making the droplets more consistant. Food color in water glass. Don't remember if I had a gel on the flash. Dropped water into milk, which explains the silver drop.
Drop me a PM if you like
Steve
Wonderful. I also do acrylic paint pouring so I have glycerin on hand, never crossed my mind to use it. I usually add food coloring to my Pluto dropper and leave the splash bowl clear, or do 2 primary colors one in the dropper and one in the dish so when they collide they create a secondary color, or 2 different secondary colors that create a tertiary color when they collide. Ive been looking forward to playing around with the liquids viscosity.

Just some fun with water and milk.
last is the setup I used.
To achieve the explosion on top, 2 droplets are used. The first creates the column. When it peaks the 2nd droplet hits the column. The Camera, speed lights and droplet controller is all controlled with the PLUTO controller.
Have fun and thanks for stopping by
Steve
Hey Steve! Lovely captures! Thanks for posting. I use the MIOPS system. I find that the milk or Xanthan Gum added to the water, works so much better than just water. Either way it is so much fun once you get the timing down. Do you use just water in the actual dropper or do you use milk / food coloring? Also I like your setup! Again, thanks.

So far, so nice Clicker
Thanks RR! Bet you are ready for a morning outing! We are just headed out for a tour... Catch you later!
Strange event, please bear with me. I was alone on top of a hill with my tripod etc to catch the rays that would back up a bridge and a church steeple but the clouds there cut the colours so I am scratching my head and oops, found something that I liked but also did something new, on sunsets..
three shots (+1 0 -1) and I waited a few minutes and repeated and waited again and repeated and once home I combined each three shots and then combined them together....
Nine shots..3x3...I believe that the angles of the sunset might have affected the blur there, but I like it and will be practicing more on this project

Nothing complicated from me...The robins have flown their nest I do believe, but I got these earlier in the week.

Someone is having fun this morning! Worth the effort!
This is for Tim if he's around today! Found this mini-Shelob in a light fixture - thankfully dead!
