I had an uncle in California who used one of those so called coolers for a few years before real AC came along.

Nice set of early trucks, very heavy on the Chevy/GMC side. You need some Studebakers.

Nice images of those vintage trucks. I’m partial to panel wagons.

Will today's kids look back on the vehicles of their youth with the same fondness 60 years from now?

I'd be happy to own any one of them just to haul around nothing more than my old, overweight rear end!

No one has responded to what these cars sell for, I do understand to some degree because I had Koi fish a few years ago and it was considered RUDE to ask someone this question. Yet, I have been out of the car realm for years and now have tried to know what abandoned cars, partially remade cars and older runnable cars cost. I had a Studebaker Sports Car in the 60's. All my friends had '40 Fords and the like. The laughed at me for having a Studebaker. I had French Roll upholstery with louvres in the hood. I liked this car even tho' my friends thought it was a dud. Now no-one ever sees a Stude' Sports Coupe. They were a sleek car.

I do know what rebuilt cars costs, but not the others.

I have just found a Kaiser or Frazer in terrible condition and have no idea what it would sell for. It's crusted with rust and at a quick look I can't read what it is at a distance.

Someone come yup with a cost please.

Just look up "Hemming's Motor News" and look for Classic Trucks.

I told you I was 'out-of-it' for years. I hadn't even thought of "Hemmings", and I was just at Barnes/Noble yesterday.

Thanks for the reminder!

Beautiful set from the collection, KT. Gorgeous paint!! I can remember them all, but not as low-riders. My dad's dry cleaning business had a couple like the '53 or '55 panel trucks, but don't recall the exact year. In those days you could have your dry cleaning picked up and delivered. Thanks for sharing!

Very good work, Kim. Considering the surroundings and crowd, you did a great job focusing the attention on the vehicles.

How I wish I had the money to be able to restore something like that.

Had a 1948 Chevy Panel Truck like #5. I wonder about some the ages on the trucks presented. In 1953 Chevy changed the pattern and style of their light trucks.

Quickdraw mentioned #6. The three Chrome strips were on the trailing edge of both the front and rear fenders-1948 only, to the best of my knowledge!

Wonderfulseries-thanx for sharing!
