Took these pics recently of some of the birds whom are now returning to the tundra regions of Northern Canada. They usually come south each fall to search for sustenance that is lacking in their home. Now that winter is coming to an end they are returning to breed but they will be back again next year.
according to my audubon book they are actually about the same size. There is one kind called the orchard oriole which is a bit smaller
Thank You Kats. It appears that the Oriole I was trying to identify is the Orchard Oriole. My bird is a bit smaller and darker orange than the Orioles that normally visit.
A few more Eagle images. The first two were taken at Blackwater National Refuge, the last one, a juvenile, was taken at Assateague along Old Ferry Road.
See you later tomorrow, but first these...We had 2 pair of Eastern Bluebirds winter over again this year. I worked at Birds In Flight. They really are gorgeous. Can spot the male's blue from afar off.
