About 26 miles southwest of Branson, Mo (30 minute drive), is Dogwood Canyon Nature Park. This is a very scenic, and interesting nature park. Beautifully landscaped, in a nature setting. Lots of waterfalls, both short and tall. The creek is stocked with rainbow trout, and even a few golden rainbow trout. It is located along, and crosses the state line into Arkansas. On the Arkansas side there are large animals on display, elk, deer, longhorn cattle, and bison. Of particular interest here is a white bison, who is about 1 1/2 years old. It looks like it has a blonde hairdo. Not an albino bison. Takoda, who’s name is “friend to everyone” in Sioux, has some pigment. To see the animals, you must ride on a tram, but the rest of the park is walkable. You can ride bicycle, or segways also. The walkway takes you back about 3 miles! We saw a bald eagle along the creek on our 1st visit, which was last fall. If you like beautiful nature, this place is for you!!! These were taken on April 11, 2021.
Yes, it has an entrance fee(s), but the proceeds stay at the park.
As you can see, it is quite photogenic!

It was indeed quite gorgeous. Possibly a day or two before peak colors. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for your comment! It was quite beautiful last fall as well, when we visited there the 1st time. We got lucky and hit it at its peak then, also!

It is a landscape photographers paradise! There is a waterfall approximately every block, for 3 miles; and they are all photogenic! It was hard to choose which one(s) to post. Glad you enjoyed our visit.

It is a very nice park, extremely well groomed. A lot of thought, time, and money, went into the making of this little valley! I noticed last fall, a lawnmower stopping whenever pedestrians were near, even. You can't tell that a flash flood did a lot of damage just a very few years ago.
Thanks for the compliment, I tried to make the photos match what we saw.

Thanks for the nice comment! I was not quite completely successful in getting all the colors, and shading correct, but came fairly close. I agree, it is a remarkable place. I plan on posting a few more, in a day or so.
