These are the best in flight shots of an eagle I have been able to manage thus far!
Living in the PNW, I'm sure there will be more opportunities. This one caught me off guard.
We were out at Padilla bay again. Just enjoying a sunny afternoon by the water at the state park. I had put the camera in the bag and was showing the little ones how to skip rocks. As I turned away from the water, this magnificent raptor was just coming over the 80-100 foot evergreens that line the campground above the bay. I ran to my camera bag, thankful for the 55-250 lens being on the 80D already. Without time to check my settings, I hit back button focus and hoped for the best as he glided almost directly over me.
