Just note that any Canon EF-S lenses you have won't mount on either body, and other brand ones will vignette unless put in the APS-C mode which crops the image way down so less than 1/2 the pixels are used.

While many swear by full frame, I have no major complaints with my 80D. Going to a 90D would allow you to use all the lenses you have for the 7D. You haven't explained why you want to replace it. Of course, you save the most if you stay with the 7D

No question - the 5D4. A pro grade, rugged body vs a consumer grade FF. Vastly better AF, superior DR, higher resolution, etc, etc, etc. Two stops of DR is not trivial.

Having thought about this a bit and given your needs, it is one tough choice!
There are advantages to each. From pixel density to low light performance. Wildlife and street have very different demands. I think, given the direction you are going, and if cost is an issue, the 6D is the choice. If cost is not an issue, go with the 5. But you will be happy with the switch either way.
Do you like to post process or do you avoid it? that is another issue.

Thanks for the information. Didn’t realize I would have the lens issue.

How do you come up with this ??

Oooops, I forgot. Cropping is strictly forbidden in the UHH street religion.

I do it anywho. Heresy is soooo cool.

I have an opportunity to upgrade my camera from a 7D purchased in 2010. I am looking at the 5D mark 4 or 6D mark 2. I focus mostly on nature photography and now getting more interested in street photography. I’ve been reading some reviews but would like to hear what other canon users think, (apart from the price difference)

Thanks

Everyone I know in the Florida Wetlands that use the 5D M4 love it and get outstanding results.
To be honest, many 5DM4 and 6DM2 owners have switched to the Canon R5 body.
If street photography is your new thing, the R5 is very quick to acquire focus and eye focus is out of this world.
I know for street you have to be quick and fast, the R5 could be your camera.

I have the 6D mkII and it's been very good for what I want. It's a little bit smaller and lighter than the 5D mkII so that might be something to consider if street is what you want if for.

But there's a lady in our club who has been producing some outstanding bird photography with a 5D mk4.

I'm sitting on the fence. If I made my choice again I'd probably still go for the 6D mkII, I couldn't justify the extra expense for the benefit at my level.

Incidently, I bought mine direct from Canon (U.K.). A good price, pennies more than the best I found) and a two year manufacturers warranty

What lenses do you own? If only ef-S you have other considerations to make.

With either Canon, which are great cameras, they are big, and you will be very conspicuous. I shoot street and use fuji Xe series cameras with the fuji 27mm lens. I carry the camera on a wrist strap, and it makes for an excellent street camera.
