Wonderful set, Ballard. The HD pano is interesting to look at in DDL. Lots of details.

Thanks for viewing the image from the hike and for the comment. The original pano was a ~60meg jpeg but held up OK even when compressing it to fit on the website with only a slight loss in detail.

Is Beale AFB closed now? I visited once, in '69, while stationed at Mather AFB. I was hoping to see an SR-71, but, as my friend and I (both new 2nd Lts.) were dressed in civies, we couldn't get onto the flight line. Live and learn.

Thanks for checking out the photos, Beale AFB is still open as I still see Military Aircraft flying out of the area frequently. I had seen a few U2 flights going out of Beale a couple of years ago, not sure if they are still flying them from there. I did see a SR-71 in flight but that was at the Abbotsford Airshow over 30 years ago, I never seen one going out of Beale (But then again they never told me when they were going to be flying to watch for them).
