In the 70’s I was stationed there at Beale. Used to run my horses and Great Danes out in the old Army training grounds. We had an easy access out from the base stables. It was BLM property at that time as I remember. Used to fish and hunt along the creek that becomes Beale Lake. Had the rancher that leased the acreage give me a rant for scaring his cattle when I was hunting doves from my swayback roan. I was young, had no clue.

Thanks for checking out the photos from the hike and for the comment. I expect it would be good place for a Star Party since there are not many lights close by, probably just the glow from Sacramento 50 miles to the south and a little bit to the west from Yuba City and Marysville.

Thanks for viewing the waterfall images and for the comment. I didn't see any pixies or fairies per say but there was something in the third shot (first shot of the falls) near the base of the falls that appeared to be flying (a reddish orange blur). Maybe a bug close to the lens, a bird, or perhaps even one of those fairies.
