Use TransferXL, you can send up to files of 5gb for free. Without any downsizing of your pictures, I often up to 3th of pictures at a time

If you are using Win 10 you can just go to your pictures folder and select a folder with the photos you would like to email. Use CRtl key and mouse to select pics you want to send. At top of photo viewer window you will see Share option, which has email as one of its options. Click on email and it will ask you what size files you want (small, medium, large) and for each selection will tell you the total size of the email attachment, where you can either select a different size or add/delete pics to keep the email size within your limit. My email client allows 20 Mb, and I can send 30 pics fairly routinely with the app doing the re-size accordingly. Once you pick the size you want it should open your default email client with the pics already selected as attachments. Hope that is helpful.

Since my Picasa email no longer works, how can I send pictures? I've tried placing them into folders and tried to email them with my Comcast account ((Mozilla Thunderbird) but each time it says that my images exceed the global size limit. Is there an easy way to email my pictures? Any help you can give would be most appreciated.

Use Dropbox.

To elaborate on my previous suggestion, Dropbox is a great method for sending pics, docs etc, even vids.
You download the app or programme free, you get 2 gigs of data allowance free to use.
I don’t keep my photos in Picasso, I use it to edit, but store them in my pictures.
Open Dropbox, create a file/ folder, drag & drop or copy & paste the pics you want to send, into that file. Green tick when all are in the folder. If there are less than 2gigs of data, it’s free.
Right click on DB to get a link for this folder, & email the link.
Recipient opens link, views/ downloads any or all your pics at the size you sent them in.
Allow the time for them to download, then you can delete the folder at will. This allows the free data allowance clear for next transaction. I chose to save my delivered folders in an external HD for future reference.
Dropbox is great for the hobbyist. Free!!

My apps don't allow files to be in folders, they must be individual files.

All of your files are in the root directory? Wow!
