this young little towhee passed the test

when he landed on the very top branch of an old plum tree in our yard.
mamma and daddy towhee were in the tree too giving instructions but
i just couldn't get a shot of them. this happened while i was trying to get
some shots of a buebird family nearby.

yes it was...unfortunately i didn't have the camera on the monopod of tripod
and i couldn't hold the camera steady...lol. it was a fun thing to see though, and the
mama and daddy were very noisy! thanks for taking a look and commenting, hereford.

yes he is...it was comical watching him trying to balance way up there on that skinny limb.

thank you for your comment, carol...i was so thrilled to see the young towhees...had never seen one
and especially up in a tree. i wonder what color he/she will be when fully grown...like the mamma, or the papa?
