I thought that I would share my scolding by the sandhill cranes. I came up this pair and they were feeding. They then went on the move. One of them moved very slowly down the road. I went by him, forcing him to move off the road. The last shot shows his opinion of my pushy behavior.

Guess he set you straight. They are such big, gentle birds. I’ve seen them turn quite aggressive around people who have been feeding them and then try to stop. No sense of humor and a good lesson about not messing with nature. I enjoyed your shots of them out doing their thing.

I truly enjoy seeing the Sandhill Cranes and I adore the colts when they arrive.
