Went to Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge today and stopped by Antelope Island on the way home. More to come after I can sort and edit.

I thought that I would share my scolding by the sandhill cranes. I came up this pair and they were feeding. They then went on the move. One of them moved very slowly down the road. I went by him, forcing him to move off the road. The last shot shows his opinion of my pushy behavior.

Good set, great light! Sweet voiced they are not! I can usually get them to talk back just by whistling.

Great set, Mike. How would you like it if someone was telling you where to go?

Great captures Mike. Apparently they didn't appreciate you.

Gee Mike, why is he yelling at you. All you are doing is trying to make him famous

Always interesting to watch these critters. 👀
1st time I ever came across this bird i was was around 12-13 years old and living in Michigan on our farm.
They were unseen and on the other side of a fence row making there vocals. I crossed over to try and see
what was making the ruckus and was astounded by the sight. The several birds seemed huge, prehistoric and from another world at the time?

Thanks, almost lost the light because the "automatic" gate to open the auto route was an hour late.

I guess it was a case of road rage, Jim.

They were fun to watch, John, but caught me unawares when they took over the road.
