Davethehiker Loc: South West Pennsylvania

I have three fruiting apple trees in a row in my yard. They all start blooming at different times but right now all three are in bloom. The apples do not taste very good. I prefer the apples I buy at the store. For years I had problems with tent worms but discovered that if pour used motor oil over the tents that the worms die and do not come back. I have not seen any worms for the past two years. I'm keeping an eye on them this year. The tree just now starting to bloom has a bit of pink color mixed with the white. I hope to be back out there and take another photo when the open fully. I have a whole house back-up electric power generator that I change the oil on every year. That gives me plenty of used oil for the worms.
