Uncle Buck, while this is not necessarily for me, I appreciate anyone who jumps in and tries something new. How will we ever learn new techniques and methods if we don't try them? These images, especially the old mill, reminds me of a puzzle from the 1950's that was photographed with film.

Thank You kindly, I appreciate your commenting. You’re so right, I learned from doing these and will apply the lessons to the next set, and I’ll learn something from the mistakes on those. I view photography as a journey we take one step at a time. Thank You Again !!! 😊👍

An interesting affect. I think I like it on the second photo the best. The cracks in the paint are more subtle and convincing. In #1, the crack lines are too wide and dark IMHO. Looks like a fun thing to try. Thanks for posting them, Dave.

Thank You John, I appreciate it. Of the two the second one’s my favorite. I enjoyed doing these and I’m sure I’ll do some. Again, Thank You and you’re very welcome, delighted to share !!! 😊👍

These are my first attempts on using a vintage oil painting effect. The first is a shot from the Old Mill in 2014, and the second is a composite of a shot from a busy day at the Met in New York in 2016. Thought I'd share.

If you would like, please click on the picture, doing so will link you to the gallery page where the shot can be seen in higher resolution and full page. Thanks for viewing and Have A Blessed Day !!!

I do like the statues. But there is just too much going on with the Cottage.

I recently saw a cool shot using "Brushstroke" or something like that. Looked like an old master painting. Is anyone else familiar with that product?

The only product that comes to mind is a product called Topaz impressions. I’ve heard it described as
“ like the old masters “ in their information.
