Great set. Your last photo show why the flowers "seem" to flow like rivers. It is the water from trickle to flow that starts and sustains the bloom.

Pretty country. We're seeing some bloom over the hill in Reno/Sparks.

Hi Photocraig

Thanks for viewing the photos of the flowers and the comment. Indeed you can see the flow of flowers follows the contour of the land where the water would settle and flow.

Yesterday I went on a ~8 mile hike on a large plateau know as Table mountain near Oroville California. The hike varied in elevation from ~1300ft to 800ft in elevation. This feature is a basaltic lava flow that formed ~16 million years ago. This large plateau has some of the best spring time flowers I've ever seen growing on it. This series of images shows the profusion of wild flowers that seemed to flow like rivers of color through the basaltic terrain. In subsequent postings I will include closeups of some of the flowers, more images along hike including some of the many water falls and canyons that have formed over time in the area.
All questions, comments and suggestions are welcome.

Hi PixelStan77
Thanks for checking out the flowers and the comment. This area has a lot of beautiful terrain particularly in the Spring. This was the first of the series of shots of the area. The link below is the last in the series and contains links to all the others.
