Thanks, it is a great old lens, not certain the newest equivalent is as good. Hopefully, this one will hold up and I won't need to find out! With the extender, it comes up to 1050. It makes a considerable difference both in reach and crop. Really doesn't add much weight or impact handling. I have the TC 14 E II, bought used. The III is supposed to be a little better.
