Beautiful image Bill. Great composition, and the color and focus are exceptional.

Thanks Jan - I'm glad you liked it and appreciate your very nice comments. I'm pretty happy with this lens. The focus is fast and accurate, the detail is great even to the corners, and I've always liked Nikon colors. The only real negative is it's a fairly slow lens with apertures from f4-f36, but that doesn't really affect me because most of my shots are taken at f8 and above.

If this shot is a sample of it's ability, you definitely have a winner. Beautiful scene, too.

Thanks Carol - I'm glad you liked it and appreciate your very nice comments. Since landscapes are my favorites (except for granddaughter pictures), I took it to the park yesterday to see how it would do. The lens is pretty lightweight for a zoom, has fast and accurate autofocus, and I really like the color it produces.

If that image is an indication you will really like that combo, Bill.

Thanks Ken - glad you liked it. I'm pretty happy so far, and think I'm going to become pretty good friends with this lens.

Thanks Joe- I'm glad you liked it. Based on all the reviews I read I thought it would meet my needs. But you never really know 'til you go out and see what it can do. So far - so good. One thing I'm pretty sure about is it's going to be a great walk-around lens.

Thanks Mike - I'm glad you liked it and appreciate your nice comment. So far I'm really enjoying my trip into the mirrorless world. I'm almost starting to feel guilty about neglecting my D3S and D800E.

Thanks Sylvia - I'm glad you liked it and appreciate your very nice comments. The park's trees are still a little bare, but it seems Spring is finally starting to make some headway.

Although still back-ordered at B&H, Unique Photo in NJ finally got a shipment of the Nikkor Z 24-200 lenses in. So yesterday morning I drove up to Fairfield, and bought one. Haven't had the chance to use it much yet, but did take it to a local park close to my home to try it out. Pretty happy with the results so far. Seems like a sharp and versatile lens, and it's nice not having to use the FTZ adapter on my Z50.

Bill, It looks like you and this lens are a winning combination. I have considered getting a Z50 but so far have resisted.

Thanks Dean - I'm glad you liked it. I resisted for quite a while too, but then my curiosity got the better of me. I have to say I really like this little camera. Just seeing the exposure in the EVF prior to taking the shot was worth the price of admission for me.
