I'm going 2 use it on my Sony A77 instead? as the A7II, is 2 small?

The a7II is a full-frame sensor keeping the same field of view as the full-frame film era lens. The a7II is an E-mount.
The A77 is a 1.5 crop factor lens, giving a more narrow field of view and apparent 'longer' lens at 600mm (400 x 1.5). The Sony A77 is an A-mount.
You can use the FD lens on both Sony cameras, you'll just need separate FD to A mount adapter for the A77.
