Nonsensical question. You are asking about bragging rights. - Time to grow up. And act like an adult. (unless you are a troll) The photographer takes the picture, not the camera/lens.

A good photographer can use a cell phone, a 4x5 view camera, a pinhole camera, etc. The pictures will not be the same. But the 'good photographer' will get at least occasional good pictures with any medium/subject.

I have. And, I have used them all - from a pinhole camera with my personally mixed gum bichromate coated light sensitive media to my digital cameras. And almost everything in between. It's not the "thing", It's the person who makes the image/photograph/capture of the moment/view of the infinite or infinitely small.

A good photographer can make a good to great image with good to great equipment. And still make a good or inspiring image with the least possible image capture/making gear and media you can imagine.

Why does this kind of "non-question" keep coming to the surface every few XXXX, instead of something meaningful and worthy of comment?

My suggestion? Grow up and take pictures. Use a Nikon/Canon/Hasselblad/Pentax/whatever and show/prove your capability and your "vision". - Or keep posting trolling questions to get 36 pages of responses about _____ (you fill in the blanks).

Otherwise I'm lost as to what in your opinion is the nonsensical question.

Other their 11 life-time topics created on UHH, they're not leading by example beyond a couple of serious photography questions ...

Not even funny.

A good photograph doesn't have the most pixels. (Per your comment, it's not even the 'best' or one of the best photographs - only "good", as judged by whom?)
And it appears your 'good photographer' has a 'mirrorless' soul.

What's the "best" is all about 'bragging rights'. Who has the 'best' car? Lives in the 'best' home? Has the 'best' spouse? The 'best' children. etc., etc. And, all this changes with the next version/model of something.

Not one of them is creative. Not one of them really has a soul.

If you have a soul, put it in your photography with whatever physical equipment you have to work with. Express yourself, your vision, your creativity in your work.

When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands knowing I captured it with a full-frame camera that no longer has a mirror.

This thread and every thread for the past 20 years is about tech. It's about more resolution, better performing sensors and greater camera automation.

I'm certainly not going to change to mirrorless. There are literally no advantages for what I want from this hobby whatsoever. Digital was a switch I reluctantly made and there simply wasn't a choice for me back then.

Today, I can do as I please. I don't want the tech. I don't want the advancements. I want the challenge!
I want to deal with the deficiencies of older DSLR cameras. I want to deal with noise. I want to be forced to make decisions and work around the limitations of my gear. This is what makes photography fun for me.

I find the end photographic result to be secondary to the journey of getting there. This is what gives me enjoyment and keeps me entertained. I'm not in search of the ultimate 200mp point and shoot camera.

I think it's very sad tech has replaced technique over the past 20 years.

Long live the DSLR.

Maybe you missed this. Or maybe you just do not care. Pretty much every advance in art since the caveman has been related to a change in technology. Not a few, not most but ALL OF THEM. Changes in paint tech, changes in material, changes in delivery systems, changes in politics that prompt a change in technology or approach to application of technology. Tech and art are bound together. Now and forever.

You know there is a difference between suffering for your art and accepting limitations to force advancement in your art.
If sticking with DSLR is important for your growth, do it. If you are ready for the next level, dump it.
