The President of Delta airlines Headquartered in Atlanta slammed the new Ga law requiring v**er ID. Why is he continuing ID before getting on a Delta Flight. Hypocracy???????????????????????

ID requirements are not the only things under this law that people and corporations dispute.

IDs are already required.

Is flying a constitutional right and necessity?

No it is not. But isn't requiring a photo ID to fly disenfranchising those poor souls who don't have an ID? Or does that only apply to v****g?

Am I disenfranchised from taking an around-the-world cruise on a Regent Seven Seas ship because I don't have the money?

If they can't afford an ID, I doubt they can afford to fly across town, much less anywhere else.

I am all for V**er IDs. But, since v****g is a right, not a privilege, states should make IDs very easy to get and they should be free.

I am not talking about driver licenses...pay for those...but a state ID to v**e should be available for free.

A few states seem to be going this direction.

Every single one of those "POOR" people have an ID.
How do you think they get their welfare each month?

I am not sure what welfare means in your part of the world.

But in Texas, a very red state, one can get food stamps, cash family support, and unemployment without ever showing an ID to anyone.

The state just asks for one's social security number.

Now can we discuss your absurd idea that poor people are all on welfare?

No you cannot.
Section 8 and food stamps require it.

People who are so out of touch with the rest of society as not to have a driver's license or state issued photo I.D. probably don't have the money to purchase a plane ticket anyway, so how are they affected here? Alabama requires only the presentation of a birth certificate and a small fee to qualify to take a test for a driver's license or the issuance ofa state certified I.D. card. I'm sure other states have similar provisions. How do these people get bank accounts for the deposit of their subsistence checks with no identification?

People who are so out of touch with the rest of so... (show quote)

They don't have bank accounts. They use check cashing outfits that take a chunk out of their check.
