What IS your anti-glare secret?
More great shots with beautiful skies.

Thanks Roger. The anti glare technique in a nutshell: I think the key to avoiding glare is the angle you take the shot. I try and get one approaching, perpendicular and leaving. The approaching and leaving shots are taken at a 45 degree angle. Sometimes a rubber lens hood helps. Try and focus on the middle or far side of a scene and use a fast shutter speed - 1/640 is my preset. At least f5.6 - f8 and I use auto ISO . The real key is to take lots of images and leave yourself some room to crop since inevitably you’ll get glare in some shots. Occasionally glare can be eliminated in post processing using clone stamp and erase tools.
Hope this helps. What is really infallible is to get into a car where the windows slide open or shoot through the rear window😊😊

After a drive through the beautiful landscapes of the Southwestern region of the Canton of Valais, we arrived at the village of Tasch where we boarded a train for the short trip to Zermatt - which will be the subject of my next few posts. I hope you enjoy these, most of which were taken through the windows of the train (before I perfected my anti-glare techniques). For more images of Southwestern Valais, please see my previous post:

Very good set, Mark! I do remember I could set my watch on the exact scheduled time of the departure and arrival of Swiss trains.
