Panama Canal would worry me some....Suez, not so much. As for the press....As Mark Twain said in 1906, "There are only two forces that can carry light to all the corners of the globe – only two – the sun in the heavens and the Associated Press down here." The scope of information flow is much greater now (more venues than ever, some regulated some not), but if not for the "press" and reporting, most would never have any idea what (good/bad/or other) is going on in our world. Yes you sometimes have to check story sources, and many only read or watch news from venues that support their point of view (or have commentators they like) but.... those in the know look at and listen to the news from all sources, check stories, and dive a little deeper....I suggest that approach to all, you get a handle on who is inconsistent or even downright full fledged liars. It (lies, mis-truths, influencing, etc.) comes from all sides of the spectrum though - right, left and middle....from the rich and the poor, and the middle....same for the good news.

Now, if another ship get's stuck in the Panama Canal at the same time, that would be discerning..... As for toilet paper, if we stop making it in Canada and the US, that would really worry me, We don't buy TP from other continents, at least per the stated country of origin.
