I went about 4 months without a haircut (Last haircut just prior to the May shutdown). I was trimming my beard, myself. I thought about not getting a haircut until I got vaccinated (got my 2nd dose this morning, BTW), but about September, I just couldn't deal with the long hair anymore.

Have any of you let your hair continue growing and stopped shaving since this pandemic hit? I realize "let your hair continue growing" isn't an accurate term, but you know what I mean. I haven't had a haircut since December 2019, and I stopped shaving about a month ago.
My wife gives me a brush cut every four months or so and I trim my beard when it gets too curly. I haven't had a professional haircut since my barber died about five years ago...

In the whole 56 years my husband and I were married, I cut his hair. I love a beard if it's kept neatly trimmed (always loved a Kenny Rogers beard). I begged him for 40 years to grow a beard and he finally did. I thought he was far more handsome with it.
I have not been to a barber shop in 20 plus years. Keep my beard trimmed and head shaved. I used to grow a beard for deer season and shave after it was over. One year I left it on and my boss ask me to shave. I told him I would shave the part that grew at work and keep what grew on my time. I have had a beard for 40 plus years. Wife likes it and said if I shave it off I will have to do all my own washing and cooking. Good argument to KEEP it.
Happy wife, Happy life ! !
A couple thoughts. I find it interesting that fellows who will spend serious amounts on photo equipment will "squirm" at the price of a haircut. Secondly, how about some new photographs for the avatars to show off your new appearances? Jerry?
Yep, i'm with you. I have been without a barber visit since 1/20. However, about August I had, had it and started
doing it myself. Did I tell you I started wearing ball caps about that time too...haha

And the price of a haircut these days is ridiculous. The place I used to go to is charging $18.00 for a senior haircut and let's face it. Some of us don't have that much hair.
After more than a year, I'm getting a haircut tomorrow. I plan on giving my barber for over 30 years a $100 tip.

The hundred dollar tip might be difficult for some of us, but good for you and all of us could probably give some. I am sure it would be appreciated.

Like I stated, I've been going to him since about 1975 so think that's the least I can do. I'm not rich but haven't been spending much this past year.
