I'm currently sorting through my photography related items. I'm coming across little things I'm happy I purchased/own.
Below is an example. Camera Wise was a collectible book series. From memory I think you purchased an issue a week. Took a long time to buy them all and I did manage to not miss a single issue. It's old, dates back to film days but just flicking through it there is masses of content. Kinda happy I collected it and still have it.
Any little bits of photography related items that you are really happy you have for whatever reason?
I'm happy I have my wide nondescript denim adjustable camera strap with clips I bought in the mid 70s.
(and "D" rings from an old camera.)
Back in the early 70's I purchased the Time/Life series on photography. Two years ago I gave it to our local high school for the kids. The photography/video/media teacher was extremely happy to receive it. Little did I know that my granddaughter would be one of the first students to complete studying these books. She, along with several other students, have nreceived several accolades on their photos. Couldn't be happier with the results.

All the slides and negatives I ever made (except those for work projects). I also have all my digital files. It is a pleasure to revisit old memories.

I bought two sets — the 1970s version and the 1980s revised version. I kept the latter.
My son is reading them now, and comparing them with what’s on Instagram. He’s laughing a lot, snidely, with some justification.
But I keep reminding him, someone had to set the stage for “now.” He’ll be doing it for his kids.
A great Wife who supports me always, several dog friends, a wonderful place to live and the continuing passion to pursue photography, 65 odd years after I began.
Top of the list is my wife of 49 years but I know that's not what you are asking.
My D7200 to replace my Nikon F. Photoshop instead of relying on Kodak processing. My collection of family photos (almost all digitized) going back two generations. Did I mention my wife? A computer and, sometimes, the internet. Blood pressure medications that keep me alive. The Ghost Dog who makes me walk twice a day. My mind (usually) after 77 years. So many more that I won't list. In a nut shell I'm happy and having fun, who could ask for more. And of course my loving wife.
My small tabletop RRS tripod and ball head. It has been all over the world. Light, small and it handles the weight of a ff camera and lens. We travel very light and cover amazing amounts of sites during the day. The tripod opens up the serenity of night photography, away from the rush and the crowds.
My health. Everything else is a distant second and not important.

Interesting. Cameras and related objects never came to mind. At soon to be 78, my first thought is my health then of course followed by family.

Well said, Gasman. Well said.

I really should've added "photography" as the first word in the title I guess. It is in the question I asked in my opening post.

I thought the question was in reference to photography, not life in general.
