For myself, the main reason is the single card slot. They turned a semi-pro series into a hobby camera with the introduction of the D7500 and have the guts to ask for a ridiculous price.

The one slot is dissapointing but not a deal breaker. After thousands and thousands of pics on my d40 d90 d610 d750 I have never had a lost pic that required taking from card 2. Maybe I am lucky. The replacement for my z6 when it dies will be the 6ii
