Your robins are so different from ours John. Excellent set, he is beautiful.

I always know Spring is near when I see them. They spend a few weeks and then move on.

Thank you very much, Sylvia. Yes, they are quite different. Actually they're not related. The European robin is in the Flycatcher family, while the American Robin is in the Thrush family.

Thank you very much for your comment, Ken. Guess they're heading north. Sometimes we'll have a few spend the winter, but they're really putting themselves in peril and many don't make it.

Very nice shots, John. The feather detail on his head is amazing in #3. It's funny, but I don't think I have ever seen a Robin in Florida. I believe they are here but not for me to see.

The ubiquitous American robin is the most wide-spread, North American songbird. The summer range is from Alaska's north-slope, over most of Canada and all of the lower forty-eight. The winter range extends to Mexico and Central America. It is the state bird of Michigan. It and the House sparrow are often ignored because they are so common, at least by me. I think I've posted only one Robin photo. Recommend DL and DDL on the third photo. Thanks for viewing - John

Nice set John

Nice shots John. I have images of robins but you're right in stating they are often ignored due to there being so many. Every year there will be one robin's nest above one of my downspouts.

The downloads are beautiful, John. I just saw my first robins here yesterday, I guess winter is over.
