Thanks to those who've commented about taking OTC meds after their injections. I didn't take anything after my Pfizer #1 because I wanted to be aware of what, if any, reaction I had. I had very mild symptoms.

For upcoming dose #2 I'm thinking Tylenol and ice cream the day after the shot sounds like a good plan

But, again, the CDC guidelines say don't take anything before you go!

Along with a good glass of wine!!

Ice cream before the shot should be fine.

Getting our second shots on Tuesday. We are preparing for the after effects by baking brownies and stocking up on ice cream. Not planning anything important for the next day.

I prefer dark chocolate with my wine, but maybe there's a way to follow your advice 😁

Im not sold on any shot just yet. Too early for me until side effects later are studied
Im sticking with the good old immune system for now. I never had a flu shot and in never get sick in 63 years. Vitamin D3 and my multi has been good so far...

How many vaccinations will you consider to be adequate testing? The side effects occur within a few days of getting the shot. The MRNA versions, Pfizer and Moderna, are based on a technique that has been in use for a decade.

Wife and I got our second last Thursday at 9:30 in the morning. We neither took anything before or after and by 9 at night I was feeling lousy. Went to bed got up the next morning at 5:30 and felt fine.

I'm with you, been a year and what I've been doing so far seems to keeping me healthy. No flu shots either and never had the flu. Hardly ever get sick except in 2015 I came down with lymphoma which I've had 3x now. Strange is medicine has no idea why people get lymphoma, which is quite common as far as cancer is concerned.

Although research on injecting MRNA into humans has been going on for a decade (or even longer), this is the first approved use of MRNA injections into humans for vaccines (or any treatments). However more than 300 million individuals have received either of these two MRNA injections which would seem to be more than adequate testing.

Hubby and I had our Astrazeneca shot some five weeks ago. He developed a very high temperature with a fever for a couple of days and a sore arm. I felt I had been hit by a truck with aches and pains in every joint! Terrible headaches, sore throat and earache, I was in bed for five days. We are really looking forward to the second one...not!

I my and my partner's cases the Tylenol worked great. I highly recommend it. This could have been a good opportunity for testing. Millions of cases to determine the effects of different OTC on the vaccines.
