I read a lot of people on UHH who talk well about Costco Photo printing. Do any of you have any experience with Sam's Club Photo printing? The nearest Costco is not convenient and I have two Sam's Clubs that are. So I already shop at Sam's Club. I did one small print there (upload service and pickup in club) and paid for the higher quality service and it seemed nice but I am considering some larger prints. Not sure that I want to pay for the Costco membership primarily to print photos. Looking mostly for paper and canvas.

Costco has closed down all its in house printing places. They now only offer it via the internet, so forget them for future print work. All ours around the area, four of them, closed several weeks ago, just an empty space there now where the lab was.

I would like it it if the local Sam's club did good work, but not being a member have not tried them. The cost of membership just for photo printing would not be worth it though. Better to use an online pro lab.

I used sam's all the time as a member etc. Can't speak for all Sam's clubs but mine no longer does in house printing. It's all farmed out and takes at least a week to get results. I never used them for quality prints but quick and dirty 8x10's before printing for real. for the Q&D I'll use CVS or Walgreens and such and get them in a day. I have a local place for high quality paper and printing.

Don't bother with Walgreens, our local ones use die sublimation and that is crap as a quality and not archival in the least. Go with a quality lab on line for future printing, it is worth the money in the end. I use WHCC, or White House in Minnesota and they have free return shipping via UPS and are super fast at turn around, a day or two for most things. Reasonable pricing too.

As of February 14 my Costco ceased in-store pickup. One can still order prints through the internet, as I always did; but the prints are now mailed to a designated address.
The quality was acceptable when the prints were available for store pick-up—that should not change.
