A Nikon D750 vs. D500 question
I am a long time Nikon person; that being noted, I have used my cell phone for pics for a couple of reasons; it is all I have had at the time and I can get a preview of a potential shot before getting out my Nikon of choice. I do refuse to upgrade my cell phone for the purpose of grabbing better pics. It's a phone, NOT my "life partner" as I see so many people relying upon it. For one whole day I would like to see cell phone service not available; people would go crazy!
If you want to be a better photographer, practice, learn, practice. If you want better photographs, the second (or lesser) thing is the equipment. And there are lots of fine mirror and mirrorless equipment that will give you the opportunity for great photos. Look at John Muir's photos -- none done with the new mirrorless cameras.
This is the kind of obnoxious reply which tells me NEVER to post anything on this website. I am new to photography and I might post a question that some "photo expert" will criticize. Absolutely no need for replies like this.

If you click “quote reply” when responding we’ll know who you’re responding to, but for now we’ll just assume it was Thomas.

Reaching for a connection? Confidence and mirrorless? LOL!
