Those are great shots. I really need to get down there and shoot some photos.

I really miss my Scarlet Macaw. He was my pal on walks, perched on my shoulder. Full flight feathers but never flew but once to let a pesky cat know his advances were not wanted. He had a bit of a vocabulary and liked to "laugh" when was getting away with something. What a great bird he was. -David

I don't know much about scarlets other than that they are beautiful. I heard they can live quite a long time. I did see one in the wild in Belize. That was quite a treat!

I loved my Scarlet Macaw. Used to perch on my arm when we walked in the neighborhood. Drank from a fountain, climbed trees, made loud calls, talked to me now and then, and I miss him very much. Thank you.

I have a friend that has two of them. I'd think her house would be noisy! They really squawk in the wild. Maybe they're quieter if they're tame. I hear they live a really long time, no?
