I have a large husky and 2 Stihl saws and found that Stihl produced a new plastic device that holds 2 files (round and flat) and is made to show you the exact angle to use to sharpen your saw. It is only for 3/8 inch chains but you can give a near factory edge on a chain faster than you can take the chain off and replace it on a saw. Well worth the price!

Yes, I bought one of them. Vey nice - especially because it also cuts the guide while it cuts the saw tooth.

I bought my Stihl 031 in 1977, and it still works.

I've got the little stones that attach to a dremel. Best I've had. Bought the harbour freight chain sharpener but eats the chain twice as fast.

I have a professional model made by Oragon but this little device which costs around $50 is much better and does not eat up the chain. It lets you take 3 or 4 strokes on each cutting head without trying to grind them all the exact depth. Try it and you will park the wheel as I did.

I'll have to check it out.
